Guava are a leading digital marketing agency. Established in 1998, we specialise in online marketing and web design and development. We are looking for an energetic Senior Web Developer to join our dynamic team working in this rapidly growing industry sector.
Company: Digital Marketing Agency with offices in Berkshire and Cornwall, working for clients such as Telstra International, London Stock Exchange, Confused.com, Nestle and Black and Decker.
Salary: £25,000- £30,000 depending on experience + Benefits (healthcare, pension, death in service insurance, bonus scheme)
Location: Tolvaddon, near Camborne, Cornwall
Start Date: September/October 2010
Contract: Permanent, full time contract subject to satisfactory completion of a 12 week probationary period, after which there is a 3 month notice period.

Outline: You will be responsible for working with the development team to produce and deliver high quality functional web projects on time, on budget and on brief. Your duties will include:
- develop websites and applications to a high standard within the company approved developer languages
- implementing 'best practice' development policies and procedures, ensuring the team understands and adheres to them
- managing the development and testing process of content managed B2B/B2C sites, ecommerce sites and online applications
- producing accurate technical specification documents for projects and pitches
- liaising with the account management team to ensure client needs are interpreted correctly and delivered
- managing the training of clients and colleagues on web applications and best practise.
This is the ideal role for an experienced motivated developer with .NET, ASP and/or PHP skills, looking to further build on their career with an international agency.
Skills: A strong knowledge and experience of building websites primarily in .NET although knowledge of PHP would also be advantageous. A high proficiency in XML, XSLT, HTML, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript (and JavaScript frameworks) and experience of using MS SQL and MySQL. The ideal candidate will have previous management experience; however will also consider a strong developer looking to take the next step in their career. Experience of using a variety of bespoke and off-the-shelf content management systems and Open Source tools such as Drupal, .net Nuke, WordPress and Magento would also be an advantage to your application.
Education: The ideal candidate should be educated to a graduate level with a minimum grade of 2:1 or equivalent with preferably one or all of the following Microsoft qualifications: MCPD, MCAD and MCSD
Work environment: You will be expected to be hard working, diligent, quick thinking and eager to learn as much about the internet, IT and online marketing as possible; you will be working with a young team of highly Internet savvy individuals who want to have fun at the same time as ensuring the success of the company.
