Identifying the best solution to achieve your goals
Strategic Planning
Our specification process always starts with a requirements gathering process. During this phase, we work with you to gain a thorough understanding of your business’ situation: the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats it faces, as well as your overall goals, Using this information, we’ll then identify specific aims for your new website project. We also establish what the key measures of success would be and – perhaps most importantly – what the user requirements and expectations might be.
Gaining this understanding from the word go is critical to ensuring that the end product meets your expectations and the end users’ needs. After this initial period of consultation, we’ll produce a Statement of Work, which details the precise scope of the project, the exact phases and how long each part of the project will take.
Business Analysis
Understanding your core business vision and objectives helps us ensure we focus on the solution most likely to achieve them. Many projects have tight constraints in terms of time, cost or both – by understanding your key requirements and primary goals we can help prioritise development and suggest an appropriate phased approach to development if necessary.
User Profile
One of the key initial stages is identifying sample user personas. These personas are a composite of an envisaged ‘typical user’ and help provide an insight into the needs and expectations of the users who might interact with your website.
Competitor Analysis
A key part of our define phase is also carrying out a thorough assessment of your current and potential competitors, and feeding this research into our ideas, plans and suggestions for your site.
